Islamabad, August 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Planning Development and Reform Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar held a meeting with Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood who called on him in Islamabad on Monday. Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr. Jahanzeb Khan, Secretary Planning Zafar Hasan, Chairman HEC Dr. Tariq Banuri, Members Planning Commission and senior officers of both ministries were also present. Minister for Planning appreciated the new initiatives of Ministry of Education and HEC for promoting quality education across the country.
Khusro Bakhtyar said that effective use of modern technology would help resolve current challenges facing the country. Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood informed that the present government has taken practical steps towards introducing a uniform syllabus in the country. During the meeting, projects under HEC came under discussion. Minister for Planning assured cooperation in timely completion of projects pertaining to Ministry of Education and HEC.
