Fellowship programme for mentoring young entrepreneurs will help them professionally: Usman Dar

Islamabad, January 30, 2020 (PPI-OT): Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs held a meeting with delegates from British Council Pakistan here at PM office, today. The meeting focussed on fellowship programme, sponsored by British Council, for successful applicants of Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) under PM Kamyab Jawan Programme. Mr. Dar said that successful entrepreneurs can learn greatly from the fellowship programme. He said that the programme will offer an opportunity for professionally training young entrepreneurs who are successful to get loans under YES.

 

“Capacity building of young entrepreneurs will be greatly helpful in preparing them for successfully running various businesses”, added Mr. Dar. Ms Sadia Rehman, British Council Pakistan, said that initially a pilot project for mentoring 300 businesses will be launched, which would be scaled up later. The fellowship programme, spanning over a period of four months, will offer professional training to various businesses from across the country. A formal letter of intent will be signed between PM Kamyab Jawan Programme and British Council Pakistan likely in the second week of February 2020 for launching the fellowship programme. The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the PM office.
