Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to sustaining reform initiatives during high-level meetings in Washington D.C.
At a meeting with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, Aurangzeb expressed gratitude for the IMF’s Staff-Level Agreement concerning the Extended Fund Facility and the new Resilience and Sustainability Facility arrangement.
In discussions with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, he acknowledged the World Bank’s support in formulating a strategy and action plan to implement the Country Partnership Framework while aiming to boost efficiency.
Aurangzeb also presented an analysis of Pakistan’s macroeconomic recovery, underscoring the government’s steadfast commitment to economic stability.
During talks with US Department of the Treasury Assistant Secretary Robert Kaproth, he detailed Pakistan’s advancing macroeconomic indicators and ongoing reforms in key sectors.
Later while addressing the US-Pakistan Business Council luncheon, he stressed the significance of enhancing regional trade and diversifying markets.
