Fines of over Rs 1.5 million imposed in 24 hours during traffic law enforcement campaign in Okara district

Authorities have imposed fines amounting to Rs 1,554,000 on motorists in 24 hours during a rigorous traffic law enforcement campaign across the district.

According to a report issued today, this crackdown against traffic law violators is being conducted under the “Safe Punjab” vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, aiming to enhance safety on the roads.

To ensure compliance with the laws, traffic enforcement checkpoints have been set up on major highways throughout the region.

During the recent operation, a total of 769 traffic tickets were issued to violators.

Among the recorded violations, 252 individuals were fined for riding motorcycles without a helmet, and 127 one-way driving violations were processed.

Additionally, a total of 194 drivers faced citations for operating vehicles without a driving license.

In addition to the financial penalties, authorities also impounded several vehicles for violating the law.
