Floral show organized at the High Commission

London, August 13, 2018 (PPI-OT): A two-day Floral Show was organized at the Pakistan High Commission London to kick-start the Independence Day celebrations of Pakistan. Sahebzada Ahmed Khan, the High Commissioner inaugurated show, namely “Floral Synergy”, on 10 August 2018. The show was jointly organized by Floral Art Society Peshawar and the High Commission. Floral artists Mrs. Farida Tariq Nishtar, Ms. Samina Hamayun, Ms. Rukhsana Aziz, Ms. Nusrat Belal and Ms. Humaira Babar put on display their unique and beautiful designs.

The artists were of the opinion that through the beauty of flowers they were endeavouring to spread the message of peace and spirituality across the world. Additionally, they said, they were encouraging creativity among women. Terming it High Commission’s flower diplomacy, the High Commissioner commended the passion and effort of the lady artists from Peshawar for showing the true image of Pakistan to the world.

He also appreciated their talents that translate their inspirations into visual delights. The High Commissioner hoped that the artists would continue to display their art around the world to show the beautiful face of Pakistan to the international community. A cross-section of British society including Pakistani community visited the exhibition and lauded the floral arrangements and artistic talent of the artists.
