Food minister listens to public problems in Mirpur Khas

KARACHI:Provincial Minister for Food and Minority Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal said Friday that providing basic amenities of life at the doorstep of the people is the top priority of Sindh government.

In this regard, ongoing development projects of drainage and water supply should be completed as soon as possible to provide relief to the people of Sindh, especially of Mirpur Khas, he said while meeting Shaukat Memon, Executive Engineer, and Public Health Engineering Department.

The minister directed the Executive Engineer to personally monitor all the ongoing projects of Mirpur Khas Division so that the work could be completed within the stipulated time. He further said that water is life for which all possible steps were being taken. Lal said that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari always spoke of the rights of the people, for the provision of which the entire Sindh government is working day and night.

He warned Shaukat Memon that the holy month of Ramazan was about to begin and in this holy month ensure that no one had any difficulty in getting basic necessities including water.

Lal also called on Dr Harchand Rai Bheel, Civil Surgeon, Mirpur Khas. On this occasion, Dr Bheel apprised the minister about the coronavirus in Mirpur Khas and the situation arising out of it.

Lal said that the best plan and strategy of the Sindh government had prevented the rapid spread of the virus. Bheel said that the number of corona cases in Mirpur Khas division was very low and in this regard there was a need for the people to take all precautionary measures.

The minister said that masks and social distance strategies should be ensured to protect them self and loved ones from the virus. Earlier, the minister listened to the problems of the people of PS-47 in his office and issued orders on the spot for the solution to them.
