Karachi: Online delivery platform foodpanda has introduced a series of initiatives aimed at supporting the well-being of its delivery partners during Ramadan. The initiatives include daily nutritious meals, a night cricket tournament, and special rewards for outstanding performance.
According to foodpanda, the "Iftar Dastarkhwan" program is providing nutritious meals to more than 2,000 riders each evening at iftar across the country. Additionally, a nationwide night cricket tournament is being held, featuring 350 riders from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. These activities are designed to enhance both the physical and emotional well-being of the participants.
As Ramadan progresses towards its final days, foodpanda plans to sponsor Umrah packages for 10 exceptional riders, ensuring representation from various regions, with particular attention given to Faisalabad and Multan. Furthermore, the company will distribute 1,000 Eid gift boxes to top-performing riders, alongside 5,000 boxes of sweets, which corporate employees will deliver personally to riders nationwide.
Muntaka Peracha, CEO of foodpanda Pakistan, emphasized the significance of these efforts, stating that the company's 2026 roadmap highlights its commitment to valuing the human aspect of business and improving lives in Pakistan. In collaboration with welfare organizations, foodpanda is also aiding in the distribution of ration bags to those in need.
