With final preparations complete for the 35th National Games, authorities have implemented stringent security protocols at the National Stadium for tomorrow’s opening ceremony, which is set to be attended by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Sindh’s Minister for Sports, Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, today announced the completion of all arrangements following an inspection of the venue. Accompanied by national athlete Arshad Nadeem and Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar, the minister received a detailed briefing from officials regarding the readiness for the inauguration.

In a media address, Mahar extended an invitation to the public, describing the event as a significant honor for Karachi and the province. He confirmed that the inaugural ceremony will feature a music concert with performances by renowned artists Hadiqa Kiani and Ali Azmat.

The minister also disclosed that while efforts are underway to have the ceremonial torch lit by national heroes, the final decision rests with the Pakistan Olympic Association. He noted that members of parliament and various provincial ministers are also expected to participate alongside the PPP Chairman.

Gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, speaking to reporters, praised the occasion, calling it a positive development that Sindh is hosting the prestigious competition after an 18-year hiatus. The celebrated athlete expressed his hope that such major sporting events will be organized regularly across the country.
