FPCCI Leader Urges Privatisation of Failing State Enterprises to Realise Jinnah’s Vision

Aman Paracha, Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), on Thursday urged the government to take positive decisions and privatise loss-making state institutions like PIA, stating such measures would prevent the country”s valuable treasury from subsidising failed entities.

Speaking to a delegation of traders on the birth anniversary of the nation’s founder, Mr Paracha asserted that this economic reform would help Pakistan emerge as a strong country in the region, thereby fulfilling the dream envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his companions.

He emphasised that the responsibility now rests with the country”s rulers to steer Pakistan towards stability and progress.

Paying tribute to the Father of the Nation, the FPCCI Vice President described Quaid-e-Azam”s leadership as a “guiding light,” suggesting that by following his golden principles, Pakistan could be transformed into a developed Asian Tiger economy.

Mr Paracha called for collective and honest efforts from all citizens to strengthen the nation that was established by the Quaid-e-Azam and the other participants in the struggle for Pakistan”s creation.

He also commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their sacrifices in defending the country”s security, noting their success against a powerful enemy has made the nation proud. He added that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s achievements have been acknowledged by the world.
