KHAIRPUR MIRS: A minor girl died after she was bitten by a snake in Kot Diji near Khairpur Mirs on Sunday.
The snake bit the girl Tawasal Fatima, aged three-year, while playing at home in Kot Diji. The incident occurred as a result of the floodwaters not being drained. According to the family, the girl died due to not receiving in-time medical aid. However, the doctors claimed that the parents were late in bringing the girl to the hospital, due to which she died.
On the other side, water-borne diseases continue to spread in the area. The health authorities have failed to control these disease. There is urgent need to save people amid flood-induced diseases.
