The domestic bullion market experienced a dramatic upswing on Tuesday, with the price of 24-carat gold soaring by a substantial Rs. 16,300 per tola, reflecting a sharp rally in international markets.
Following the significant rise, the new rate for a tola of 24-carat gold settled at Rs. 464,062.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-carat gold climbed by Rs. 13,975 to reach a new high of Rs. 397,858. The rate for 10 grams of 22-carat gold also saw a considerable gain, advancing by Rs. 12,811 to be traded at Rs. 364,716.
This upward trend in the local market corresponded with a significant appreciation in the international value of the precious metal, where gold prices increased by $163 to stand at $4,413 per ounce.
The silver market also witnessed a robust rally. The price of 24-carat silver per tola escalated by Rs. 570, closing the day at Rs. 7,454.
In tandem, the cost of 10 grams of 24-carat silver rose by Rs. 489 to Rs. 6,390. On the global stage, silver experienced a notable jump of $5.70, with its international price recorded at $69.70 per ounce.
