The price of gold in the local market witnessed a significant decrease on Tuesday, becoming Rs 1,000 cheaper as the trend of declining precious metal prices continues. This major drop indicates further changes in commodity prices.
After this decline, the per tola price of the yellow metal (gold) came down to Rs 162,500. Simultaneously, the price of 10 grams of gold recorded a decrease of Rs 857, after which its price became Rs 139,300.
Globally, gold prices were also affected, with the per ounce price dropping by $10. After this adjustment, the international price of one ounce of gold became $1,920.
Locally, the price of silver also decreased. A decrease of Rs 59 was recorded in per tola silver, after which its new price became Rs 1,850. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs 51, reaching Rs 1,586.
In international trade, one ounce of silver was quoted at $23.28, reflecting broader movements in precious metals markets.
