A significant increase in gold prices was recorded across the country, pushing per tola and 10-gram rates to new record levels.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of per tola gold increased by Rs 4,600, bringing it to Rs 499,962.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 3,943, taking the new rate to Rs 428,636.
In the international market as well, gold prices saw an increase, with per ounce gold rising by $46 to reach $4,776.
On the other hand, silver prices also recorded an increase. The price of 24-carat silver per tola increased by Rs 326 to Rs 8,260.
The price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 279 to reach Rs 7,081, while in the international market silver is being traded at $77.76.
