Sindh’s Minister for Local Government, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has given a strong assurance of the provincial government’s full cooperation to all elected representatives, regardless of their political affiliation, in a joint effort to tackle the various problems facing the city.
The minister gave this assurance during a meeting with a delegation of Union Committee chairmen. The delegation was led by Parliamentary Leader Asad Aman and Deputy Parliamentary Leader Salahuddin, while other local government officials included Muhammad Salman Khan, Chairman of Union Committee No. 8, TMC Saddar South.
The local leaders informed the minister about numerous pressing issues in their respective union committees. These complaints included infrastructure improvement, better health facilities, streamlining the sanitation system, and other important municipal matters that required immediate attention.
In response, Minister Nasir Shah assured the delegation that their problems would be resolved on a priority basis. He said that all possible measures would be taken for public welfare and that close contact would be maintained with the chairmen to strengthen the local government system.
Nasir Shah said, “All of Karachi’s problems are being solved on an emergency basis.” He added that projects of public interest would be completed swiftly to enhance the city’s beauty and make it more livable.
