Governor visits JI office, meets party leaders

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori Saturday visited Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi headquarter and met its Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman and other office-bearers matters relating to prevailing condition of the province, results of census, performance of the K-Electric and civic problems of Karachi were discussed in details.

Later, while talking to media, the Governor Sindh thanked Hafiz Naeem for hosting him and said that he had given very positive suggestions. He has discussed matters which are voice of people of the city and the province, Governor Sindh added.

Governor Sindh further said that he would try his level best to resolve these issues. “I know many of the leaders for a long time,” he added. Tessori further said that he spoke with JI Pakistan Ameer Senator Siraj-ul-Haq and he very cordially invited him to visit JI central Headquarters at Lahore. Hafiz Naeem also extended the same sentiments when he was contacted for this visit, Governor Sindh said.

He said that the discussion we made was in very cordial and respectful way and it was aimed at providing relief to common man. Replying to a question about K-Electric Governor Sindh said that he has asked Hafiz Naeem to give his suggestions in writing so as to take up the matter before the concerned authorities. Replying to another question Governor Sindh said that being the representative of Federal government, he was the Governor of every political party and all sections of population.

The Governor Sindh also said that he was contacting all stakeholders in the province including political and religious parties. The only aim of this interaction is to create a conducive environment to ensure peace tranquility and brotherhood amongst different sections of population, he opined.

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that promise for re-census in 5% blocks is yet to fulfilled. He also demanded not to extend further the license of present K-electric owners. “I have great hope that Governor Sindh would use his good offices for solution to the above problems, he added and said that if he did however so we would support him. Hafiz Naeem said that whenever and whenever he feels necessary, would raise his voice for rights of Karachiites,” he added.
