ISLAMABAD:Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Husain has said the government is committed to providing health cards to journalists on priority basis.
He was talking to a delegation of Press Association of Supreme Court (PAS) here on Friday. The Minister congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the association. He said fair and accurate court reporting is imperative for ensuring prestige of judiciary and basic rights of people.
He said the journalists doing court reporting should play their due role in promotion of responsible journalism. Underlining the need for training of court reporters, the Minister said the government will prepare a strategy in this regard in collaboration with the representative journalist bodies.
