Govt enforces new SOPs for mosques, worship places

ISLAMABAD:The National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) Friday imposed new SOPs for mosques and worship places in wake of continuous rise in the coronavirus cases in the country.

The NCOC session took a detailed review of the current disease situation in the country and agreed on the implementation of undermentioned essential protocols for masajid and worship places.

The NCOC informed that only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed for prayer in masajid / worship places. It called for ensuring mask wearing, removal of carpets, maintaining six feet social distancing. It said that elderly and co-morbid people should preferably offer prayers at home.

More restrictions are frequent hand sanitization, minimal attendance for the prayers, preferably perform ablution at home, opening of doors / windows for ventilation, preferably organizing prayers in open and short sermon for Jumma prayer.
