Grace Academy crowned Sindh region champions in PCB Talent Hunt final

Grace Academy of Learning Secondary School won the title of the PCB Talent Hunt Program for School Cricket Sindh Region on Tuesday, defeating Aspire School Benazirabad by 6 wickets in a final adorned with spectacular batting displays.

In the championship match played at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad, batting first, the Aspire School Benazirabad team was all out for 198 runs. Haider Ali played a blistering innings of 83 runs with the help of four fours and ten sixes, while captain Abuzar Abid scored 49 runs.

For the Karachi institution, the bowling attack was led by Arsalan Riaz and Muhammad Khan, who played a key role in restricting the opposing team. Both bowlers took three wickets each for 27 and 37 runs respectively.

In reply, Grace Academy successfully achieved the target, scoring 202 for the loss of only four wickets. Maqsood Ali played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 61 runs, while he was supported by Muhammad Bilal with 45, Muhammad Ibrahim with 28, and Feroz with 18 runs.

For Benazirabad, Shabbir Ahmed was the most effective bowler, taking two wickets.

After the match, a prize distribution ceremony was held, in which District Cricket Association Hyderabad President Shakeel Qureshi was the chief guest. He distributed the prizes, giving the winner’s trophy to Grace Academy’s captain Muhammad Khan, while the runner-up trophy was received by Aspire School’s captain Abuzar Abid.
