A police check post on Sariab Road came under attack on Saturday from unidentified pillion riders who ignored a stop signal and opened fire.

During the exchange, one police officer sustained injuries, but authorities managed to apprehend one suspect who was wounded in the retaliatory gunfire.

According to police reports, the injured suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Officials at the Sariab police station confirmed that a detailed investigation is in progress to uncover the motive and identify any accomplices involved in the attack.
