Hamza notified as leader of opposition in PA

LAHORE: Hamza Shehbaz of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has been named as opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly on Sunday.

Former Punjab chief minister Hamza Shahbaz was officially notified the leader of the opposition in the provincial legislature. A notification of Hamza’s appointment was issued following the approval from Speaker Sibtain Khan.

It is pertinent to be mentioned here that the office of opposition leader had been lying vacant since the change of government in the province. PML-N’s Hamza Shehbaz had relinquished as the opposition leader’s post this year in April after being named as the chief minister of Punjab.
