Hateful speech, content will not be tolerated: Tahir Ashrafi

Islamabad, January 17, 2021 (PPI-OT): Special Representative to Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi has said that hateful speech and content will not be tolerated and stern action will be taken on violation of the code of conduct in this regard. Addressing a conference in Lahore today (Sunday), he said that anyone in the country will not be allowed to create religious anarchy.

The special aide said the incumbent Government is protector of sanctity of the Prophethood and in this regard taking concrete steps. He said the government is making endeavours to ensure legislation on sanctity of the Prophethood and against blasphemous caricatures issue in France.

Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said PTI government has been working to strengthen ties with all the Muslim countries and cooperation is being enhanced with Muslim countries in areas of trade, economy, tourism and Religious affairs. He said Saudi Arabia has never intervened in internal affairs of Pakistan and always had exemplary relationships with Pakistan and people of Pakistan. He said that Palestinians have termed the stance of Prime Minister Imran khan on Palestine as representation of the entire Muslim Ummah.
