ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson on Monday said the Head of Mission in Kabul Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani is in Pakistan on a prescheduled visit for consultations.
Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani had remained unhurt during a terrorist attack on Pakistan’s Embassy in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Friday. Pakistan on Saturday had summoned the Afghan Charge d’ Affaires to convey Pakistan’s deep concern and anguish over the attack.
According to Foreign Office, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani was the target of the attack. The attackers missed Nizamani, but an embassy security guard, Sepoy Israr Muhammad, was critically wounded in the attack while protecting the ambassador.
