Health Secretary visits Civil Hospital Duki

DUKI:Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Secretary, Health Department, said Sunday said that hospitals of the province had been ruined owing to the continuous strike of paramedics, adding that strict disciplinary action against the absent staff would be initiated in accordance with the rules in vogue.

These views were expressed by him during surprise visit to Civil Hospital, Duki. During inspection of Emergency Ward and other departments of Civil Hospital, Duki, the visiting Secretary Health was given detailed briefing with regard to the affairs and problems of Civil Hospital, Duki and Basic Health Units.

Expressing indignation over the absence of five doctors from their duties, he directed the concerned authorities to initiate stern disciplinary proceedings against the absent doctors. Speaking on the occasion, Nasar said that medicines would be provided to all the healthcare facilities of Duki on priority basis, adding that hospitals of the province had been ruined owing to the continuous strike of paramedics. The deficiency of doctors in the healthcare facilities of the province would soon be overcome, said he, adding that no political pressure would be tolerated in the health sector.
