A weather advisory issued by the Meteorological Department Quetta Regional Center today warned of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in northeastern and southern Balochistan from July 17th to 19th.

The alert specifies that a westerly wave interacting with humid airmass will impact districts including Labella, Awaran, Khuzdar, Sibbi, Zhob, Musakhel, Ziarat, Harnai, Loralai, and Barkhan.

The forecast predicts partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with humidity across most of the province. Rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in scattered locations, particularly Loralai, Barkhan, Kohlu, Musakhel, Zhob, Ziarat, Harnai, Dera Bugti, Sibbi, and Khuzdar. Nokkundi, Chaghai, Panjgur, Kharan, and Washuk districts can expect dust and strong winds over the next 24 hours.

The 48-hour forecast anticipates similar conditions, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms expected in Loralai, Barkhan, Kohlu, Zhob, Musakhel, Ziarat, Harnai, Dera Bugti, Sibbi, Labella, Awaran, Surab, and Khuzdar.

Over the past 24 hours, precipitation was recorded in Loralai (23.3 mm), Ziarat (17.8 mm), Sibbi (2.2 mm), and Barkhan (trace). Temperatures ranged from a high of 42.5°C in Dalbandin to a low of 17.0°C in Kalat.
