The Department of Islamic Studies, University of Karachi, in collaboration with the Quaid-e-Azam Academy, organized a grand event to commemorate the 1500th birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event was held in the department’s auditorium.
Renowned scholars from various universities in Karachi addressed the event, including Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan Saqi, Dr. Muhammad Shoaib, Dr. Aurangzeb, Dr. Samia Rafiq, Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman, Dr. Zahid Ali Zahid, and Zahid Hussain Abro from Quaid-e-Azam Academy, who presided over the event.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by student Muhammad Atif Kamal and Naat by student Syed Noorullah Shah.
The speakers emphasized respect for all religions within Islam and encouraged the ethical use of social media. They highlighted the Islamic principles of equality, justice, and piety and shed light on the guidance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for solving complex human issues. They stated that Islam offers established principles, and examining the life of the Prophet (PBUH) provides solutions to various challenges. The concept of cause and effect was illustrated through examples from the Prophet’s (PBUH) life, portraying him as an expert in human behavior.
The speakers affirmed that the solution to current human predicaments lies within the life and teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), which illuminate all aspects of life, both personal and societal. The Quaid-e-Azam Academy presented gifts and souvenirs to the guest speakers.
