New Delhi, September 28, 2019 (PPI-OT):Former puppet Chief Minister of occupied Kashmir and Indian National Congress leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad, has said that situation in Kashmir is deplorable and a huge crisis is unfolding in the valley where the poor people have nothing to eat.
Ghulam Nabi Azad in a media interview in New Delhi after coming back from a six-day visit to occupied Kashmir said, “A huge crisis is unfolding in Kashmir and the fears I had expressed while seeking the Supreme Court’s permission to travel to Kashmir have come true.” He said that the authorities were resorting to intimidation and suppression of facts and that things had come to such a pass that people were resorting to civil disobedience as a mark of protest.
He said that what he was told in Kashmir was alarming. He said that ever since the Indian government repealed Kashmir’s special status, people in the valley had been boycotting public transport and refusing to open shops. He said that a massive civil disobedience movement was on. “Unprecedented anger not seen in the past 30 years is building up,” Azad said. He said, “The impression being given about Jammu celebrating the decision of the Indian government is false.”
