Pakistan Sunni Tehreek’s Chairman Engineer Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri has stressed that the ceasefire in Gaza has become “merely a paper announcement,” as Israel continues to exacerbate the severe humanitarian crisis by maintaining restrictions on aid delivery in violation of international laws.

Providing details today, he said that more than 1.5 million displaced Palestinians in Gaza are deprived of basic necessities like food, medicine, clean drinking water, electricity, and shelter. Qadri described the situation not as a ceasefire but as a “continuation of oppression and siege.”

Qadri accused Israel of “making a mockery of the entire world” by obstructing humanitarian aid through closing aid routes, limiting the number of supply trucks, and blocking essential items.

The silence of the international community was termed “criminal negligence,” while Qadri also said that the role of human rights organizations during this crisis is also becoming questionable.

Despite what he termed the “continuous brutality and economic siege,” the Sunni Tehreek Chairman mentioned the high morale of the Palestinian people, stating that building temporary shelters from the rubble of destroyed buildings is an “indelible example” of their unwavering resistance and determination.

He further condemned the world powers for playing the role of “silent spectators,” and said that the global conscience has either “died or taken refuge under the pressure of powerful states,” while international institutions have limited their actions to statements and expressions of concern.

The Chairman of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek demanded the immediate and unhindered delivery of aid, strict implementation of the ceasefire, and the prosecution of war crimes cases against Israel in the International Court of Justice.

He also urged Muslim countries to adopt a unified strategy to create a practical mechanism for ending the siege of Gaza, and finally warned that if immediate action is not taken, the “global system itself will be responsible” for the lives of innocent Palestinians who die from hunger, cold, and disease.
