KHAIRPUR:A husband shot dead his wife over a domestic issue in village Ghulam Qadir Metlo within the limits of Shah Hussain police station of Khairpur on Wednesday.
According to police, accused Ameer Muslim Metlo opened fire on his wife Shamshad Metlo in village Ghulam Qadir Metlo near Khairpur. As a result, she suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot.
On information, the area police rushed to the scene, shifted the body to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs.
The police have arrested the accused and started a probe into the incident. A tense situation prevailed in the village soon after the incident. More bloodshed is feared, said villagers. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the village. The victim family has demanded of the Sindh home department and other relevant authorities to award exemplary punishment to the killer.
