Lahore, August 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani has said that Captain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan is one of the lucky few police officers who has twice had the opportunity to head the Punjab Police and in both periods as IG Punjab he has improved the prestige of the police department by improving policy making, public service delivery and best administrative reforms.
He further said that Captain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan not only faced every challenge with excellent leadership skills but also successfully launched several projects of Smart and Community Policing with his expert skills and abilities whereas he is also respected by all force due to his steps taken for welfare of the personnel .
He further said that the career of Captain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan is a shining example for young police officers and I am also honoured to work under his command. He further said that the police department is the home of all the retired officers and personnel where they are always honoured. He expressed these views at the Central Police Office today on the occasion of the retirement of Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan. Speaking at the farewell ceremony. IG Railway Police, Capt (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan is retiring on August 27 after completing his service.
During the ceremony, IG Railway Police Captain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan thanked IG Punjab for the honour and said that he considered the Central Police Office as his second home and his services to the police department would always be available.
He further said that he is grateful to his senior and junior officers and staff for their support, hard work and teamwork in launching several projects to improve public service delivery. Expressing his feelings, he added, “I am very happy to be retiring after completing my departmental service and thank God for giving me every opportunity of my professional career during my long service to be successful in every challenge of career.
He said that the coming era is more challenging and Punjab police officers will have to discharge their responsibilities more diligently and sincerely than ever before as this is the requirement of the time to come. Brave officers and personnel will, as always, do more to protect the lives and property of the people. During the ceremony, all the Additional IGs and DIGs of Central Police Office also paid homage to the services of Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz Khan. At the end of the ceremony, IG Punjab Inam Ghani presented commemorative souvenir to Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz Khan.
