Key negotiations regarding the formulation of the upcoming national budget and a new petrochemical policy were the focus of a significant meeting between government officials and representatives of the Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association.
The negotiations, held on Thursday, were chaired by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan, who met with a high-level delegation from the country’s central chemical industry body.
During the consultation, matters related to the chemical sector, its challenges, and its strategic direction were examined in detail. The meeting specifically discussed the industry’s stance and expectations regarding the upcoming federal budget.
Haroon Akhtar Khan reiterated the government’s stance on industrial development, stating, “In line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for economic development, strengthening industries is our top priority.”
