Imran Khan failed to gather even 20,000 people, claims Maryam

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Thursday said Imran Khan has failed to gather even 20,000 people in the Long March.

Addressing media in Lahore, Maryam said the nation is aware of the fact that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s (PTI) Long March was not revolutionary, but was about to spread anarchy, adding the nation has said absolutely ‘Not’ to him (Imran).

Maryam Nawaz said Imran’s six-day ultimatum is nothing but it is all about the embarrassment. Maryam said the case should have been registered against Imran Khan, adding the case of fatalities of PTI workers should also be registered against him (Imran). Maryam asked Imran that if he wants to bring freedom, then first he should call his children back to the country from London.

Maryam said PTI was in power, with complete authority for three and half years, adding the people have recognized his (Imran) lies and fake letter. Maryam warned Imran Khan to stop mischief and anarchy, adding both his (Imran) government and politics has ended.

Maryam said the police constable was shot dead by PTI worker, adding the constable’s widow told that they have no house. She said the government has announced to provide house to the wife of martyred constable. Maryam lashed out at PTI Chairman and went on to say that people’s children were left alone on roads, while he (Imran) himself was using helicopter.

Maryam said the journey of real freedom and revolution starts from house, adding that if Imran Khan is worried of revolution, so he should start it from home. Maryam asked Imran Khan to remember Almighty Allah, rather to keep on making the people ‘engine’ for personal gains. Maryam said she wants to remind the judiciary over the statements of Sheikh Rashid and PTI leaders, which are available on record.

Maryam said the people had send back the ‘Azadi March’ to Peshawar by converting it to ‘Barbaadi March’. Maryam said for hours, Islamabad was set to fire, adding that one of PTI workers was setting fire, while standing on the top of the vehicle.
