Indian troops martyr two youth in Pulwama: Hurriyat Conference denounces bloodshed

Srinagar:In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two youth in Pulwama district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were martyred by Indian troops along with paramilitary forces and police personnel during a cordon and search operation at Qasbayar area of the district. A senior police officer also confirmed the killing of two youth in the area. The operation was going on till filing of this report.

Meanwhile, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Advocate Devinder Singh Behl, leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, has expressed grave concern over the growing Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory.

Devinder Singh in a statement issued in Jammu said that despite severe cold weather in the occupied territory, Indian troops during their continued cordon and search operations arrest Kashmiri youth and send them to jails. He said that Indian army is violating human rights and international law due to unbridled powers it enjoys under black laws. He said that the troops are killing innocent Kashmiris for promotions and rewards.

Devinder Singh said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and India is bound to abide by its commitment to resolve the dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people. He urged India to initiate meaningful dialogue with Pakistan for a just solution to the Kashmir issue. He said that unless the Kashmir issue is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and UN resolutions, lasting peace and stability could not be established in South Asia.
