SRINAGAR: In a move perceived as a strategy to disrupt societal unity in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), India has reportedly mobilized its agents to incite religious, sectarian, and communal tensions, sparking concern among civil society and religious scholars.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, religious and political leaders in Srinagar have issued statements condemning these alleged Indian conspiracies. They have characterized these efforts as deliberate attempts to divide the Kashmiri population.
Observers have pointed out that this perceived “divide and rule” strategy by India is intended to weaken the collective strength of the Kashmiris. It is seen as a ploy to detract from the policies of the BJP-led government, which critics argue include a Hindutva agenda aimed at marginalizing the Kashmiri people.
There have been calls from various quarters for maintaining unity and vigilance to protect the region’s communal harmony. Leaders have urged resistance against what they describe as India’s deceptive tactics to undermine the Kashmir cause.
