Industrial Community Vows to Uphold Legacy of Late Business Titan SM Muneer

Leaders of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) today pledged to continue the mission of their late Patron-in-Chief, SM Muneer, whose contributions to Pakistan”s economic stability were hailed as achievements that would be ‘written in golden words.’

The commitment was made during a ceremony marking the third death anniversary of the esteemed business leader, which included a Quran recitation and special prayers attended by prominent figures from the trade and industrial sectors.

Addressing the assembly, KATI President Muhammad Ikram Rajput paid rich tribute to the late industrialist, asserting that exceptional leaders like SM Muneer are “born once in centuries.” He emphasized that Muneer”s lifelong struggle for the nation”s economic development would always be remembered with respect and pride.

Rajput affirmed that KATI continues to implement the vision and guidance established by its former patron. “He always prioritized the collective interests of traders and industrialists and stood by the business community during every difficult time,” the KATI President remarked, noting Muneer’s dedication to empowering the business community and mentoring new leadership.

The legacy of the late leader is actively being advanced by his son, SM Tanvir, who, according to Rajput, has successfully united the business community by following in his father’s footsteps and strengthening his visionary mission.

Zubair Chhaya, the Deputy Patron-in-Chief of KATI, shared personal reflections from his time with Muneer. ‘SM Muneer was an institution in himself. Even after three years of his passing, the void he has left can never truly be filled,’ Chhaya stated, adding that it is now their collective responsibility to progress the late leader’s mission with full commitment.

The event saw participants pay glowing tribute to SM Muneer’s unparalleled services. The large gathering of KATI office-bearers, including Senior Vice President Zahid Hameed, Vice President Muhammad Talha, and several former presidents and chairmen, reaffirmed their dedication to carrying forward the principles of unity, economic progress, and business-friendly leadership he established.
