The Pakistan Shaheens squad has undergone a forced alteration for the upcoming white-ball series against the England Lions, with right-arm fast bowler Ali Raza being ruled out due to a knee injury.
According to a report by PCB today, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the change following a detailed medical assessment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The evaluation determined that Ali requires treatment for his left knee, and he has subsequently begun a structured rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the PCB medical panel.
Following due deliberation, the national selection committee has named Muhammad Amir Khan as the replacement for the tour of Abu Dhabi. The 24-year-old Swat-born cricketer is a right-arm pacer and a right-handed batter.
The series against the England Lions, scheduled from 20 February to 9 March, will feature three T20 matches followed by a five-match 50-over series. All fixtures are set to take place at the Stadium Oval in Abu Dhabi.
