Intense cold and fog prevail across the country, temperature drops below freezing point in Quetta

A severe cold wave has gripped the upper parts of the country, with the temperature dropping to minus three degrees Celsius in Quetta on Wednesday, while severe fog has been forecast in the plain areas of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

The weather is expected to remain very cold in the upper areas.

This morning, the temperature was recorded at three degrees Celsius in the capital Islamabad, ten in Lahore, and fifteen in Karachi.

Additionally, the temperature was recorded at six degrees Celsius in Peshawar, two in Gilgit, one in Murree, and four in Muzaffarabad.

In illegally Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy and very cold in Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Shopian.

The weather in Leh is expected to be very cold and dry, while Jammu is likely to remain cold and foggy.
