Interfaith Harmony Councils to be formed for addressing minority issues: Ashrafi

Islamabad, December 17, 2020 (PPI-OT): The Special Representative of Prime Minister on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has said that Interfaith Harmony Councils would be formed across the country to address minority issues.

Talking to representatives of different schools of thought in Islamabad, he said that a Special Coordination Center has been set up in Islamabad to address the issues related to minorities.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said there is no space for forced conversions and underage marriages in Islam.

He said the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government is protector of the Islamic Sections of the Constitution of Pakistan, Namoos-e-Risalat and belief in the finality of Prophethood.
