International – Pakistan Inks Key Agreement To Host 2026 OIC Women’s Summit

Pakistan has formalised its commitment to host the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women by signing a crucial operational pact with the OIC Secretariat.

The accord, known as an OIC Technical Arrangement (OTA), was finalised during a high-level meeting between a visiting OIC delegation and Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Federal Minister for Law and Justice and Human Rights, says a report issued today.

The OIC contingent was led by Ambassador Tariq Bakheet. The primary agenda of the engagement was to deliberate on the preparatory measures for the forthcoming international gathering.

This signed OTA establishes the formal coordination and operational framework required to ensure the successful convening of the summit.

The ministerial conference, which will focus on issues relevant to women across the Islamic world, is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in July 2026.
