After being unanimously re-elected as the central president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (Noorani), Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair said that national unity and religious insight are essential to counter the ongoing conspiracies to weaken Pakistan, addressing the severe internal and external challenges facing the country.

Dr. Zubair was elected for the seventh consecutive time in his party’s central elections, held on Sunday at the secretariat. The electoral process saw enthusiastic participation from Shura members across the country, resulting in Peer Syed Saadat Ali Shah being elected as the central senior vice president and Syed Muhammad Safdar Shah Gilani as the central secretary-general.

The proceedings were overseen by a central election committee comprising Mufti Azhar Mahmood, Mian Ghulam Shabbir, and Mufti Tasadduq Hussain Qadri. Following the election, Qari Zawar Bahadur administered the oath to the new office-bearers.

In his address to the assembly, Dr. Zubair strongly condemned Indian aggression in Kashmir and Israeli atrocities in Palestine, describing the silence of the international community as a disturbing matter for the human conscience. He called for an immediate and just end to “double standards,” terming the issues of Kashmir and Palestine a test for the entire Muslim world.

The newly elected president emphasized the urgent need for unity within the Muslim Ummah, warning that sectarianism and internal divisions only benefit “enemy forces.” He described harmony as the sole remedy for the problems facing both the Muslim world and the nation, specifically noting that the country’s stability and the protection of religious values depend on the unity of the Ahl-e-Sunnat.

Dr. Zubair declared the protection of the belief in the finality of Prophethood ? as a fundamental responsibility, stating that no compromise on this sacred belief would be tolerated. He pledged that JUP-Noorani would continue its struggle at all levels to defend the finality of Prophethood, the honor of the Prophet ?, and fundamental Islamic values.

Concluding his address, Dr. Zubair reiterated his party’s commitment to playing a vigorous role in protecting Islam, upholding the constitution, and promoting democracy. He reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and the legitimate rights of the Ahl-e-Sunnat.

The meeting was also addressed by the newly elected Senior Vice President Peer Syed Saadat Ali Shah, Secretary-General Peer Syed Muhammad Safdar Shah Gilani, and Allama Qari Zawar Bahadur.
