The Embassy of Japan today announced a significant professional development opportunity for Pakistani educators through its 2026 Teachers Training Scholarship Programme, offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT).
The scholarship is targeted at Pakistani teachers with a minimum of five years of instructional experience in either public or private primary or secondary schools. A strict age requirement stipulates that applicants must be 35 years old or younger.
This training initiative is designed to allow Pakistani educators to undertake research on school education in Japan. The purpose is to provide participants with exposure to new methodologies and teaching techniques from Japanese experts, fostering their professional growth.
Offered annually, the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship enables international teachers to study as teacher training students at designated educational institutions within Japan.
The non-degree training course has a maximum duration of 18 months. Upon successful completion of the required coursework at the designated university, participants will be awarded a certificate.
