JASQ stages rally in Larkana for rights of Sindh

LARKANA: Chairman, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Sanan Khan Qureshi has said that Bahria Town is a conspiracy to convert the Sindhi people to a minority in which we consider the PPP as an equal partner. Sindh is currently undergoing a very difficult time and therefore the people of Sindh will have to be brought on a single platform.

He was addressing a large number of his party activists who took out a huge rally here on Monday on completion of one year of sit-in against Bahria Town in which police resorted to button-charge the protesters who were seeking rights of the indigenous people, arresting men, women and little kids.

Qureshi said that soon millions of people will gather in Karachi against Bahria Town and Sindh-enemy projects when we will inform the whole world that we are the real heirs of Sindh. We are out in the field for the rights of Sindh for which Shaheed Bashir Khan Qureshi, Maqsood Qureshi and others were martyred, he said adding we are not afraid that we will be removed from the struggle for the rights of Sindh. We appeal to the people of Sindh to join us in seeking the rights of Sindh.

He said that there is a severe shortage of water in Sindh, but Sindh’s water from the Indus River is being stolen by establishing canals and watercourses which we strongly condemn in the strict words but the rulers are speechless showing their criminal negligence.

Some of the workers chained themselves in this scorching heat and joined the rally which started from Jinnah Bagh and after marching through various major roads culminated at Jinnah Bagh. The participants were shouting slogans while holding large banners and flags in their hands.
