Islamabad, August 29, 2020 (PPI-OT): The Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has denounce killing and random arrest of innocent youth in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The JKSM in a meeting held in Islamabad, today, with its President Altaf Ahmed Butt, in the chair, expressed concern over the fresh wave of Indian state terrorism during the month of Muharram-ul-Haraam.
Addressing on the occasion, Altaf Ahmed Butt said that it had become a norm of Indian forces to kill and torture and create chaos in IIOJK during the holy months and important days. They are using fake CASOs to kill youth during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haraam as they did during Ramadan, he said.
He recalled that since August 5, 2019, Indian forces had turned IIOJK into a battlefield, using explosives to demolish houses, fake CASOs to kill youth, molest and rape women, and destroy businesses just to demoralize and stop the Kashmiris from their demand for right to self-determination. He added that Modi introduced new domicile laws to settle non-Kashmiri in IIOJK to change the demography of the territory, which would have deadly ramifications if the world and international organizations did not intervene and stop Modi.
Altaf Ahmed Butt strongly rejected the Indian government’s unilateral steps aimed at usurping the rights of the Kashmiri people, adding that such measures could not change the status and significance of the unresolved Kashmir dispute. He appealed to the international human rights organizations to intervene and put pressure on India to stop inhuman and punitive measures against the besieged people of IIOJK.
