JKYSF delegation visits pellet victim and prisoners residences

Srinagar, October 28, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) visited Soura Anchar area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with a pellet victim, Abdul Majeed War, brother of illegally detained Meraaj-ud-Din War. The delegation comprised JKYSF Vice Chairman Ghulam Rasool, Chief Coordinator Tauseef Ahmed, and Shafeeq Ahmed.

Speaking on the occasion, Ghulam Rasool assured the family of full support for legal help and medical assistance for Abdul Majeed War. He paid tributes to the commitment of the family towards the freedom struggle despite facing Indian oppression. The JKYSF delegation also visited the residence of illegally detained Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, at Baghat in Srinagar and expressed solidarity and sympathy with his family.

Meanwhile, the JKYSF General Secretary, Zubair Hassan Mir, in a statement said that introduction of the new land laws, paving the way for outsiders to buy land in IIOJK, has once again exposed BJP’s extremist Hindutva policy and shown its real approach to the Muslim majority territory.

“We will oppose the new law tooth and nail. The only intention to revoke Articles 370 and 35A was to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir. Now with such laws everything becomes clearer. It is an eye-opener for those who have time and again voted the pro-India parties to power,” he said.

He said that the manner in which the government of India was dealing with IIOJK was a grave warning about the danger posed to the rights of Kashmiris. He said the only solution to protest the rights of the Kashmiri people is the settlement of the Kashmir dispute under the relevant UN resolutions.
