JUI-F has challenged transgender bill in Shariat Court: leader

LARKANA: Deputy General Secretary of JUI-Fazal Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan has said that this is not the time for politics and it is also not for the number game, adding it is a pity that the nation in trouble is appealing for help and Imran Niazi had announced long march doing politics whose first and last purpose was power.

He was addressing media persons at Jamia Islamia here on Thursday after distributing relief goods among the flood victims along with Khalil-ur-Rehman Darkhuwasti, Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro and others. He said that Al-Mahmoud Trust had helped the victims of all castes and religions, which was a great message for the world. He said that such an action would have pleased the soul of the martyr of Islam Maulana Khalid Mahmood Soomro.

He further said that the flood victims were still in trouble as they were facing hunger, starvation and diseases for whom the government should distribute relief materials and establish medical camps and work on an emergency basis to resettle them, because the flood victims in the current situation were starving under the open sky, suffering from various deadly infectious diseases.

In response to a question, Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan said that JUI will not accept any legislation against the Quran and Sunnah, while the transgender bill was against Quran and Sunnah, against which JUI-F had presented an amendment to the bill in the Senate and had also challenged the bill in the Shariat Court.
