Karachi Gulistan-e-Jauhar Restaurant Raided, Unsafe Meat Seized, Restaurant Sealed

On the directions of Provincial Minister for Food Makhdum Mahboob-uz-Zaman, the Sindh Food Authority carried out an operation in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and recovered a large quantity of unsafe meat from Shahid Shinwari Restaurant. The restaurant was sealed and a fine of Rs500,000 was also imposed.

According to details, the Sindh Food Authority team inspected the restaurant located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where multiple violations were found.

During the inspection, serious violations were observed, including unhygienic freezer conditions, exposed food items, and poor sanitation.

A spokesperson for the Sindh Food Authority said that immediate action was taken after the recovery of unsafe meat from the site, leading to the sealing of the restaurant and imposition of a Rs500,000 fine.

Provincial Minister for Food Makhdum Mahboob-uz-Zaman said that the Sindh Food Authority is active against those providing substandard food to the public.

He added that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against violations of food safety laws, and indiscriminate action against responsible parties will continue.
