The grand football tournament, Challenge Cup, is currently underway in Karachi, organized by the Hamid Ismail Foundation. The tournament, being held at the Kikri Ground, features 32 teams from across Karachi, highlighting the talent and dedication of local footballers.

According to a statement by Hamid Ismail Foundation, the matches are being played in an Eliminator Format. The tournament began on January 27 and will conclude with the final match on February 14. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of one hundred thousand Pakistani rupees and the runner-up will receive fifty thousand rupees.

Hamid Ismail, President of the foundation, remarked on the significance of the event, emphasizing its role in uniting communities and inspiring youth. He stated, “The Challenge Cup is not just a football competition, but a platform to bring communities together, inspire youth and highlight the rich sportsmanship culture among the local youth of Lyari and other Karachi.”
