Karachi Mobile, Electronic Dealers delegation meets Additional IG Karachi

Concerns were expressed over the city’s general law and order situation and specific security arrangements for commercial centers during a high-level meeting between electronics traders and the new Additional Inspector General of Police.

A 30-member delegation of the Karachi Mobile and Electronic Dealers Association met with Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan at the Karachi Police Office on Wednesday to discuss the immediate challenges faced by the business community.

The delegation was led by the association’s President Minhaj Gulfam and included Senior Vice President Umar Arif, in addition to other officials such as Muzaffar and Khalid Khan.

The focus of the talks was a comprehensive review of the security situation, in which the traders highlighted specific issues affecting their businesses in the city’s mobile markets.

The senior police officer listened attentively to the grievances presented by the representatives and promised that the resolution of the identified issues would be a top priority, expressing a commitment to resolve them immediately.

Although the primary agenda was focused on security matters, the delegation also took the opportunity to formally congratulate Additional IG Khan on his recent appointment to the key post.

At the conclusion of the talks, as a gesture of goodwill, the traders presented the Additional IG with a bouquet of flowers and a traditional Sindhi Ajrak.
