Karachi, February 04, 2020 (PPI-OT): A large number of PIA employees gathered at airline’s Head Office, Karachi to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. PIA employees, PIA Boy Scouts and PIA model school students were holding Pakistan and Kashmir flags while the National anthem of both Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were played.
Chief Operating Officer PIA, Aijaz Mazhar in his address said that we and the entire nation stand by the people of Kashmir till they get their rights and be free of Indian occupation to become an integral part of Pakistan. He said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan raised the Kashmir cause in UN General Assembly and other international forums to include Davos. Raising of Kashmir issue by the PM at such high International Forums was cognized by the other countries who also expressed their solidarity with the Kashmir cause which in turn elevated external pressures on Indian Government.
We pay tribute to Kashmiri people for their just struggle against oppression and pray for them to be victorious. Later on, a walk was also held at the premises of the PIA head Office attended by PIA employees and senior airline officials. PIA has also arranged events on board PIA flights in addition to ground employees at Check in counters and PIA regional offices will also express unity on Kashmir Solidarity Day.
