Muzaffarnagar, August 08, 2019 (PPI-OT): August 08 (KMS): Extremist Hindu organization, Bajrang Dal, has asked the Indian people to purchase plots in occupied Kashmir, turning into reality the worst fears of the Kashmiris of converting the territory into another Palestine by India. The Bajrang Dal activists in Muzaffarnagar asked the Indians to purchase plots in Kashmir.
“I appeal to all of you to purchase plots of land there. Also, this is a welcome step for Kashmiri Pandits who will now be able to return to their hometown. All of us should welcome this step,” said a local Bajrang Dal leader, Ankur Rana.
Indian government on Monday announced the repeal of Articles 370 and 35-A that granted special status to occupied Kashmir and prohibited the non-Kashmiris from purchasing land in the territory. With the abrogation of these constitutional provisions, Indian citizens will now be able to acquire land in occupied Kashmir, thus turning the Kashmiris homeless in their own homeland like the people of Palestine.
BJP leader and Goa Ports Minister, Michael Lobo, speaking in the Legislative Assembly, said that he would buy land for constructing his house in Kashmir, where he intends to stay after retiring from politics.
“I am planning to buy land in Kashmir. I want to build a house there. I will invite all my legislator friends there,” the BJP MLA said. Lobo said he would be staying in that house once he retires from politics.
“The government’s move (to do away with Article 370) has given us an opportunity to buy land in Kashmir and to work in Kashmir,” he said.
Another BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh, Vikram Saini, addressing a gathering in Khatauli area of Muzaffarnagar said bachelors in BJP are now welcome to go to Kashmir buy plots of land and get married.
