Khairpur wrestlers’ supremacy in All Sindh Malakhra final, more than 100 Malh wrestlers from 30 districts participated

Wrestlers from Khairpur emerged victorious at the conclusion of the two-day All Sindh Malakhra Competition 2025, and secured prize money of over one lakh rupees along with the trophy. This traditional sports competition was organized by the Government of Sindh in the Sachal Goth area of Karachi.

More than 100 Malh wrestlers from 30 districts across the province participated in the championship on Monday.

According to a spokesperson for the Sindh Sports Department, in the final of the first competition, Malh wrestler Manthar Bugti secured the first position. Karam Ali Bugti took second, while Babar Ali Jamali and Imtiaz Ali Maganhar secured the third and fourth positions, respectively.

During the closing ceremony, Sindh Sports Secretary Manwar Ali Mahesar reiterated the government’s commitment to the sport. “Malakhra is an ancient identity of Sindh, and the Sindh government will continue to promote this traditional sport and patronize its Malh wrestlers,” Mahesar said.

The secretary, who was the chief guest, distributed the prize money and trophy among the winning wrestlers. Other players were also awarded shields and certificates for showing outstanding performance during the tournament.

Additional Secretary Asad Ishaq, DSO Ismail Shah, Fareed Ali, Sunny Parvez, Muhammad Usman, and Ali Dino Gopang, among other dignitaries, also attended the ceremony.
